Position Details & Responsibilities

A leading power systems and equipment organization is seeking a PSSR/Account Manager to grow aftermarket parts and service business across an established territory in Northern New Jersey and the New York Metro Area. This customer-facing role will focus on developing long-term relationships with fleet managers and other customers while identifying opportunities for service agreements, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and system upgrades.

The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of diesel engines and power systems with strong account management and sales skills.

Responsibilities

  • Grow aftermarket parts and service sales across marine accounts through new and existing customer relationships
  • Develop opportunities for maintenance agreements, engine overhauls, system upgrades, retrofits, and other lifecycle solutions
  • Serve as a technical resource for customers regarding marine engines, generators, propulsion, and auxiliary systems
  • Manage strategic accounts and proactively identify upcoming service needs, repowers, dockings, and equipment upgrades
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity within CRM systems
  • Collaborate with parts, service, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Conduct customer reviews focused on equipment reliability, performance, uptime, and operating costs
  • Stay current on marine industry trends, competitive activity, emissions requirements, and emerging power technologies

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of experience in marine power, diesel engines, power generation, heavy equipment, aftermarket sales, or a related field preferred
  • Strong technical understanding of diesel engines, generators, propulsion systems, or marine service operations
  • Previous PSSR, account management, product support, or aftermarket sales experience preferred
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and grow parts and service revenue
  • Strong sales, negotiation, account planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales forecasting
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
