A well-established equipment dealership is seeking a Territory Manager to grow its compact construction equipment business throughout Southern Idaho. This newly created position offers a protected territory, an existing customer base, strong inventory availability, and significant opportunity to develop new business.

The ideal candidate is a driven, relationship-focused salesperson with a hunter mentality who enjoys being on the road, meeting customers, and building a territory. Equipment knowledge can be taught - the company is primarily looking for strong sales ability, initiative, and the willingness to prospect.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an established customer base while aggressively developing new business throughout Southern Idaho
  • Prospect through cold calling, customer visits, networking, and other business development activities
  • Sell compact construction equipment while identifying opportunities for attachments, rentals, parts, and service
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations and recommend solutions based on customer applications and needs
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and quoting through negotiation and closing
  • Build long-term customer relationships and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the territory
  • Participate in product training, sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events

Qualifications

 

  • 3–5+ years of outside sales or business development experience preferred
  • Equipment, construction, rental, agriculture, trucking, or industrial sales experience is a plus
  • Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated prospecting and closing ability
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a territory with limited supervision
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory, including overnight travel
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
