A leading manufacturer of premium equipment trailers is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth across the Western United States. This role is responsible for expanding market share, developing dealer relationships, growing national accounts, and supporting direct sales initiatives throughout a multi-state territory.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing dealer networks, developing new business opportunities, and selling equipment trailers, commercial trailers, heavy equipment, or related products. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic sales professional who enjoys building partnerships, growing territories, and delivering long-term business results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed territory sales goals
  • Manage and expand an established dealer network while identifying and recruiting new dealer partners
  • Build strong relationships with equipment dealers, distributors, and key customers throughout the assigned territory
  • Develop direct sales opportunities with national accounts, fleet customers, and other strategic partners
  • Support dealer success through product training, sales planning, inventory management, and ongoing account development
  • Monitor dealer inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient production scheduling and product availability
  • Identify new market opportunities and implement strategies to increase market share
  • Gather competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and market trends to support pricing strategies and future product development
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and customer information utilizing CRM and reporting tools
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and industry exhibitions
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and leadership to support continued business growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales, territory management, or business development experience
  • Experience managing dealer distribution networks within the trailer, heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, trucking, or related industries is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of equipment trailers, commercial trailers, vocational equipment, or transportation products is a plus
  • Proven success developing new business opportunities and growing market share across a multi-state territory
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with experience managing a remote territory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Valid passport or the ability to obtain one
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% throughout the assigned territory
  • Candidates may reside in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Nevada, or Utah.
