Remote (U.S.A.) | Approximately 25% Travel
A leading software and technology provider serving the heavy equipment, equipment rental, and dealership industries is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to support and grow key customer relationships across North America.
This role is responsible for managing strategic accounts, driving customer retention, identifying expansion opportunities, and serving as a trusted advisor to executive-level stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex B2B relationships, leading customer business reviews, and growing revenue through consultative sales and account management strategies.
The position offers the opportunity to work with some of the industry's most prominent equipment dealers, rental companies, and equipment-focused organizations while partnering closely with internal sales, customer success, and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic customer accounts
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and develop long-term account growth strategies
- Identify and secure opportunities for account expansion, including additional users, products, services, and software modules
- Manage contract renewals, proposals, negotiations, and account retention efforts
- Develop and execute strategic account plans and mutual action plans to drive customer success
- Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and business reviews to customer stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales, customer success, implementation, product, and support to ensure successful customer outcomes
- Understand customer business objectives, operational challenges, budgets, and growth initiatives
- Monitor account health and proactively identify opportunities to improve adoption and customer satisfaction
- Represent the organization at customer events, industry conferences, and trade shows
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasting, and account documentation
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue growth, retention, and customer success objectives

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Strategic Account Management, Enterprise Sales, Customer Success, or a related client-facing role
- Proven success managing large, complex B2B customer relationships
- Experience within SaaS, software, cloud technology, or technology-enabled solutions preferred
- Equipment dealership, equipment rental, construction equipment, or heavy equipment industry experience is highly desirable
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with executive-level decision makers and stakeholders
- Ability to identify customer needs and align solutions to business objectives
- Strong presentation, communication, and business acumen
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales process management
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple strategic accounts simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% throughout the United States and Canada
