A leading equipment dealership is seeking a Parts Manager to oversee all aspects of its Parts Department at a location in North Dakota. This leadership role is responsible for managing inventory, supporting internal and external customers, developing team members, and driving parts department profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in parts operations within the heavy equipment, construction equipment, agriculture equipment, trucking, material handling, or related industries. This individual will be a hands-on leader who can effectively manage people, inventory, customer relationships, and operational performance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Parts Department team through coaching, training, performance management, and employee development
  • Manage daily parts operations, including inventory control, stock ordering, receiving, sourcing, and customer support
  • Work closely with Service and Sales departments to ensure parts availability and maximize customer uptime
  • Develop strategies to increase parts sales, market share, and overall department profitability
  • Monitor inventory levels, backorders, vendor relationships, warranty returns, and stock accuracy
  • Analyze department performance metrics and implement improvements to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Resolve customer concerns and support both internal and external customers with timely solutions
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient parts warehouse and work environment
  • Support marketing initiatives, vendor promotions, and customer outreach efforts
  • Participate in hiring, scheduling, workforce planning, and succession development activities

Qualifications

  • Previous Parts Manager, Parts Supervisor, or Parts Department leadership experience required
  • Experience within heavy equipment, agriculture equipment, trucking, material handling, industrial equipment, or related industries preferred
  • Strong inventory management and parts operations experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing employees
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze business metrics and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with service, sales, and operational teams
  • Computer proficiency and experience working with inventory management systems required
  • Valid driver's license required
