A well-established construction equipment dealership is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Representative to support and grow its presence in the Houston market. This role is focused on managing an existing book of business while developing new customer relationships across a defined territory. The ideal candidate brings strong heavy equipment sales experience, a customer-first mindset, and the drive to run their territory like their own business.

This position offers autonomy, strong internal support, access to a broad equipment fleet, and the opportunity to sell both equipment and rentals in a high-demand market.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow an established customer base while prospecting new accounts
  • Sell new and used heavy construction equipment and generate rental revenue
  • Build strong relationships with contractors and industry decision-makers
  • Conduct jobsite visits to identify opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Coordinate with service, parts, and rental teams to resolve customer needs
  • Assist in promoting all dealership departments and aftermarket offerings
  • Respond to customer concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate activity and pipeline information
  • Own and manage the assigned territory with a long-term growth mindset

Qualifications

  • Required: Prior outside sales experience selling heavy construction equipment
  • Proven ability to manage a territory and build long-term customer relationships
  • Strong understanding of equipment applications and jobsite needs
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Team-oriented with a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Comfortable working both in the field and from an office environment
  • Minimal overnight travel required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the territory
