A growing equipment rental and traffic safety solutions provider is seeking a Branch Manager in Northern California to lead day-to-day branch operations while also overseeing and driving sales performance. This role is responsible for managing branch profitability, developing customer relationships, and leading teams across sales, rental operations, and customer support. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style, strong sales instincts, and the ability to balance operational execution with business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall branch operations, including sales, rentals, customer service, and administrative functions.
  • Oversee and drive sales activity, supporting outside sales efforts and maintaining key customer relationships.
  • Develop and execute branch-level strategies to grow revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Coach, mentor, and hold sales and branch staff accountable to performance goals and service standards.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, municipalities, and key regional customers.
  • Monitor branch financial performance, including revenue, expenses, utilization, and margins.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, CRM usage, and follow-up on sales and customer activity.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Represent the branch professionally in the local market and at customer job sites.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience managing a branch, department, or territory within equipment rental, construction, or a related industry.
  • Strong sales background with experience driving revenue and developing customer relationships.
  • Ability to manage both people and performance in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.
  • Solid business acumen with experience overseeing branch-level operations or financial metrics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and internal operating systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the region.
