Our client, a well-established equipment rental company, is seeking an experienced Regional Rental Sales Manager to lead rental sales performance across multiple branch locations in California. This role is responsible for driving rental revenue, improving fleet utilization, and developing high-performing rental sales teams throughout the region.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in construction or industrial equipment rental, understands fleet economics, and can lead sales efforts across a multi-location environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support rental sales activity across multiple branch locations within the region.
  • Drive rental revenue growth through territory planning, jobsite activity, and customer development.
  • Coach and develop rental sales representatives to improve performance, accountability, and consistency.
  • Partner with branch and rental leadership to optimize fleet utilization and profitability.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to identify new rental opportunities and expand existing accounts.
  • Monitor rental rates, market conditions, and competitive activity to maintain a strong position in the market.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of customer activity, rental opportunities, and forecasts.
  • Support regional objectives related to fleet time, utilization, and financial performance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience managing multiple locations required
  • Strong understanding of rental fleet utilization, pricing, and gross profit management.
  • Demonstrated success in outside sales, customer development, and jobsite-based selling.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the region.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma required; additional education or industry certifications a plus.
