Position Details & Responsibilities

Our client, a leading multi-location heavy equipment dealership in the Southeast, is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support customers in Northeast Florida. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining construction equipment in both shop and field environments, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and customer communication.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a technician who enjoys working independently, solving mechanical problems, and supporting customers directly in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service heavy construction equipment and components in the field and shop.
• Develop repair plans, identify required parts and tooling, and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Perform quality assurance testing to ensure repairs meet company and manufacturer standards.
• Complete service reports, work orders, and warranty documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate repair status and progress with supervisors as needed.
• Properly use and maintain company vehicles, tools, fuel cards, and shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support service operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Diesel Technology, Equipment Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Previous experience repairing heavy construction equipment strongly preferred.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Comfortable working independently in shop and field environments.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation.
• Valid driver’s license required.
