Position Details & Responsibilities

Our client, a growing equipment manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to support and grow business across Canada. This role is best suited for a field-based sales professional with a strong understanding of the heavy equipment industry and the ability to build relationships with dealers.

** Candidates must be based in Ontario near a major airport. **

The ideal candidate has experience selling OEM products or working in outside sales for an equipment rental organization and is comfortable managing a territory with regular travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales within an assigned territory through new business development and account management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers.
• Promote and sell manufactured equipment using a consultative, application-based sales approach.
• Conduct in-person customer visits, product presentations, and demonstrations as needed.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, and forecasts in CRM tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support product knowledge, service needs, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in the heavy equipment industry required.
  • OEM sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Sales experience with an equipment rental company also considered.

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field.
• Ability to travel regularly.
• Must be based in Ontario, near a major airport.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
