Our client, a global heavy equipment manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Technical Solutions Manager to support dealer partners and customers across Canada.

This role requires deep technical expertise in heavy construction equipment, strong diagnostic abilities, and the confidence to serve as a trusted field resource for complex hydraulic and electrical issues.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical support experience, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with dealer technicians and internal engineering teams. This is a high-impact role with significant travel and no assigned territory boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support to dealers and customers for heavy construction equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hydraulic, electrical, and systems-related issues.
  • Interpret and apply detailed schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct field visits to assist dealer technicians with challenging service cases.
  • Document field findings, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and recommended improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with dealers, customers, and internal engineering/product support teams.
  • Deliver hands-on technical assistance and training when needed.
  • Travel approximately 60% across Canada to customer and dealer locations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical support or field service experience with heavy construction equipment (required).
  • Strong proficiency in hydraulic and electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Bilingual French/English strongly preferred.
  • Valid work authorization in Canada (no sponsorship available).
