Our client, a multi-location equipment dealership group, is seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead and scale sales operations across multiple branch locations in Northern California. This leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, building high-performing sales teams, and creating consistency in sales execution across the region.

The ideal candidate brings strong sales leadership experience within the equipment industry and a proven ability to align people, process, and performance across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop sales teams across multiple branches to achieve regional sales goals.
  • Establish consistent sales strategies, processes, and performance expectations across all locations.
  • Drive new business development while supporting growth within existing customer accounts.
  • Partner with branch managers and regional leadership to align sales execution with operational goals.
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity, forecasting, and key metrics.
  • Support strategic accounts and assist with high-level customer relationships as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales leadership and top-performing sales professionals.
  • Promote a consultative, customer-focused sales culture across the organization.
  • Collaborate with marketing, service, parts, and rental teams to support overall dealership growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales leadership experience within an equipment dealership or related industry.
  • Experience overseeing sales teams across multiple branch locations.
  • Strong understanding of dealership sales operations, territory management, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and retain high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout Northern California.
