Herk & Associates is recruiting a Service Manager for a Leading Construction & Forestry Equipment Dealer just south of Nashville, TN. 

Purpose: The Service Manager will oversee service operations within the dealership and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Grow profitable service labor sales and exercise disciplined expense control. Attract, retain, and effectively engage department personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures a clean and safe work environment for all employees
• Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge
• Assists with the development and training of service personnel and may complete performance reviews of service staff
• Communicates, enforces, and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
• Monitors service sales on a monthly basis to ensure achievement of budgeted sales and profit goals
• Participates in the development and execution of the Corporate Service Marketing Plan
• Coordinates customer clinics, field days and related promotional events
• Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing
• Ensures all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order
• Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position
• May assist the Corporate Service Manager in developing processes and procedures and to develop and follow an annual Service Department budget 

Qualifications

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• 3+ years’ experience in Service Department operations
• Proficiency required in standard desktop load applications like Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Excellent written and verbal communication with individuals and groups
• Familiarity with major construction and forestry equipment products
• Ability to analyze & interpret internal reports
• Ability to work extended hours & weekends 
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Must possess High School Diploma at minimum
