Summary

We are searching for a Parts Manager to help our customers get the replacement parts they need. In this position, you will oversee the entire parts department. This involves managing employees, checking inventory, and ordering new parts when necessary. You will also directly handle customer service when an issue needs extra support. Our ideal applicant has several years of experience working with auto parts, preferably with some leadership or management experience. You also need strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train new parts department employees
  • Manage key vendor and customer relationships.
  • Take regular inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Oversee the shipment of replacement parts
  • Quickly address pricing, product or customer service issues with customers.
  • Manage your team and set employee schedule
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
  • Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
  • Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments 
  • Prepare new parts quotations using company software or price books while following company policies and pricing, product application, terms etc.
  • Create pricing guidelines for customer categories 
  • Monitor and adjusts inventory 
  • Respond to questions pertaining to specifications, pricing, availability and application.  
  • Supervise stock order procedures  
  • Work closely with service manager  to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed  
  • Provides technical assistance when necessary  
  • Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction 
  • Support Inside and Outside sales with special requests for stocking new parts.
  • Enforce safety requirements  
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Manage warranty claims with the service department.
  • Special projects assigned by management
