Herk & Associates has been retained by a Dealer in the Trucking Industry to find an accomplished and results driven Parts Manager to join their team. This position is responsible for maintaining a profitable and efficient Parts Department.

The ideal candidate will strive to accomplish objectives through the use of planning and marketing, solid purchasing procedures, heavy attention to inventory control, working with customers/clients and training team on parts knowledge. They will also work closely with the president on the progress of the department’s objectives, personnel, and generation of sales and profit for the dealership.

Qualifications

  • Meet sales volume and return on sales objectives through supervision of Parts Department employees
  • Achieve maximum inventory turnover, parts availability and minimize surplus through administration utilizing the Company’s Inventory Control System
  • Daily and monthly management reports
  • Achieve market penetration goals through the identification of customers by utilization of a Prospect System, market research and sales contracts
  • Develop and maintain an effective and efficient parts organization through selection, development, training, placement, and equitable treatment of employees
  • Maintain compliance with existing government regulations and company policy and procedures. Establish safety and good housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Maintain employee morale, and perform annual performance reviews
