Primary Job Function:
The purpose of this position is to support our dealer network with up to date and prompt information regarding service, warranty, application, and technical issues.

Essential Job Duties:

• Promote Hyundai Equipment with a positive and professional approach.

• Responsible for developing the product support department of the assigned dealers with
both business and technical knowledge of construction equipment and applications

• Responsible for coordinating the information from all departments to fulfill all requests
in a timely manner.

• Ability to function in a multicultural business environment.

Power Motive Corporation, is a Komatsu dealer of equipment, parts and service, compact construction, and rental equipment. We have been in business for over 50 years and are headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

Power Motive Corporation is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Field - Technician for our Durango, Colorado location. You must reside in the Durango or the surrounding area, or be willing to relocate to that area. This position is in the field by themselves on an everyday occurrence performing a variety of services on equipment on customer sites. This position often schedules and coordinates service schedule own their own, reporting into the assigned branch location as directed. This position requires the ability to diagnose heavy equipment and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned machines.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years experience in diagnosing equipment utilizing laptop computers, gauges, and instruments in all machine systems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines, and general machine performance is expected. Preferably in the field.

• Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment, systems, engines and components required.

• Occasional use of basic welding equipment may be required.

• Ability to operate in a fast paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.

• Experience with Caterpillar equipment (or its equivalent) systems: hydraulics, engines, power train, 12 volt and 24 volt electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair these systems is required.

• Proficiency with computers and aspects of Microsoft office desired.

The ideal candidate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The following may be expected to be encountered: long periods of standing, exposure to seasonal heat and cold, working with oils and greases, noise, shift work as needed - 1st and 2nd, working outside, stooping, bending, squatting, or working in a prone position.

Education

High school education or GED equivalent, Technical, Vocational, or Trade School education is also required.
