Position Details & Responsibilities

Arrow Equipment, in business since 1959, is a full service equipment distributor specializing in asphalt paving and related products, including quality brands such as Caterpillar and Leeboy. Arrow Equipment is well positioned to capitalize on the improving economy and emerging growth opportunities and is currently seeking a Operations Manager for our Parts and Service Division.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsibilities include all Parts and Service support for our products. The primary focus for this role is to ensure that there are plans in place to develop and implement services and programs to provide our customers with world-class service. This leader will be tasked with building the highest performing technical resources to support customers, resulting in increased employee and customer satisfaction, market share and profitability. It’s essential that the leader understand the relationship between Parts, Service, Equipment Sales and Rentals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Establish a compelling vision for Arrows Parts and Service Division

• Personify the behaviors that enhance customer trust, satisfaction, and loyalty

• Ensure the safety of all employees

• Maximize profitability in relation to the company’s market share goals

• Attract top-tier talent to the company and initiate cutting-edge professional development programs; strengthen the bench

• Develop annual and long-range business plans and operating budgets

• Staffing consultant for all parts operations inclusive of sizing workforce, defining and assigning job responsibilities, productivity, quality and the overall work environment.

• Leader in building a teamwork atmosphere and ensures a high degree of employee satisfaction and productivity while holding them accountable for their actions.

• Works seamless with the Service Departments to provide the best support available to our customers.

• Responsible for all Parts logistics: transportation, vehicle acquisition, vehicle maintenance, routes and various other associated duties.

• Develops an excellent working relationship with Corporate and other manufacturer Parts, Service and District representatives as it pertains to the development, marketing and delivery of replacement parts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a Bachelor of Science degree.

• 10 years combined experience in Service or Parts supervision and management,
preferably in the equipment industry.

• Must have Asphalt-Laydown paving experience.

• Must have a strong work ethic and high internal motivation.

• Must be able to overcome obstacles and deliver results.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills and strong written communication,
presentation and non-verbal skills.

• Strong leadership skills, including creative thinking, foresight, good judgement,
decision-making, planning and goal setting.

• Strong management skills, including hiring, change management, conflict resolution, performance enhancement, organizing and project management skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing, empathy, negotiation, coaching and
counseling.

• Strong customer service skills and a sense of urgency.

• Strong analytical skills, including problem solving and the ability to interpret data, trends, policies, procedures, guidelines and laws.

• A good team player, cooperative, helpful, dependable, puts the company’s interests ahead
of his own areas.

• Good computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office software

Position Details & Responsibilities

This position will provide ongoing, profitable sales growth consistent with current forecasts by establishing and maintaining external customer relationships as assigned via the Outside Sales call load. Demonstrate knowledge of the application and operation of ESCO products while consistently representing ESCO PPG objectives and policies. This position’s primary responsibility is Western North Carolina and surrounding markets and will also frequently travels to support and service customers. There will also be periodic travel outside the territory for training, conferences, tradeshows, etc. This position will receive guidance from the Branch Manager, with input from Regional Sales Managers and General Sales Manager. Interfaces externally with existing or potential ESCO customers, and internally with managers and employees representing ESCO order acquisition, order fulfillment, product optimization/development, procurement, and distribution processes. Accountabilities of this position are as follows:

• Attain or exceed the annual forecast sales volume and gross profit targets for assigned accounts by effectively qualifying account potential and focusing on those accounts that represent the greatest opportunity for growth.

• Support sales initiatives as defined by ESCO N.A. Sales Management through direct sales.

• Contribute to maintaining an organization culture and environment that connects and aligns people resources and behavior with the PPG Vision and Mission through personal actions, teamwork, and effective human relations.

• Expenses are maintained at budget for personal expense and promotional items.

• Functions and Duties for this position are Planning, Solicitation and Communication

• May include managing consigned inventory & product delivery.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a 4 year college degree preferred or strong experience may be substituted. Minimum 10 years of sales experience & industry related experience. Strong written, verbal and communication skills. Excellent customer relationship rapport. Excellent inventory management and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel preferred. Aggregate/Quarry market experience a plus
