Location: Dallas/Fort Worth Industry: Material Handling Compensation: $42,000 - $100,000+ Position Details & ResponsibilitiesThe Lift Truck Territory Manager (Combined) reports to two Sales Managers and works with the Parts and Service Manager(s) in the assigned facility. The incumbent is the primary contact between the customer and the local store for both machine sales and parts and service sales. The incumbent must initiate and build parts and service sales and generate machine sales and rentals in an assigned territory. Annual sales goals vary from 1.5M to 2M in assigned territories.
Nature & Scope of Assignment: The incumbent's primary responsibility is to solve the customer's material handling problems. Material Handling needs may be in the form of the selling the right equipment to do a job or providing the best parts and service support available. The incumbent is required to know the features and benefits of the Caterpillar & allied product lines in order to recommend the correct model and specifications to meet the customer's needs.
The incumbent works as a representative of the parts and service departments and is responsible for generating sales for these departments. The sales are generated through repair bids, promotional specials, OEM replacement parts and parts for competitive forklifts. A Territory Manager works on application surveys, total maintenance/repair contracts, operator training and building customer relationships.
The Territory Manager is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date call and mail report and calls on customers within the assigned territory with a frequency according to the sales and needs of the individual account, and is required to use telemarketing and make cold calls to increase the size of the assigned territory. The incumbent will participate as required with strategic planning and analyze the assigned territory for sales forecasts and competitive surveys. The incumbent utilizes an expense account for items such as fuel and oil costs, entertaining customers, etc. A car allowance is provided to cover the expense of operating a vehicle.
Internal contacts include several department mangers. Department managers coordinate various services rendered as a result of sales calls. The incumbent works within the guidelines set by the department managers.
Major Functions
• Make sales calls on customers; discuss the company's parts and service programs and capabilities that will benefit the customer.
• Sell features and benefits of Caterpillar and allied product lines. Provide sales quotes to prospective customers.
• Inspect customer equipment and develop repair quotations.
• Answer customer objections and complaints and forward pertinent information to management.
• Assist in resolving accounting problems through carious departments in order to maintain customer confidence.
• Provide operator training at customer facilities.

Major Functions

It requires concentration when calculating and invoicing to make sure customers are billed correctly. The incumbent must be able to deal with dissatisfied customers and identify their needs. Negotiating rental rates or bids and supporting company policies are other critical requirements.
Decision Making
The incumbent dispatches hauling in the most efficient manner to accomplish destination requirements. If there are minor repairs that need to be made before the truck can be rented, approval has to be obtained. Deciding on what truck in the fleet best meets the needs of the customer is essential.
Working Conditions
Normal hearing, vision and good speaking abilities are required for customers and personnel communications. Most of the time is spent sitting, with moderate walking to check rental inventories.
Working Environment
The incumbent works in a normal office environment. Hazards are limited to occasional trips to the service department where safety glasses are required.
Additional Information
It is imperative that you devote whatever time is necessary to accommodate the customer's needs and therefore the job may demand more than 8am to 5pm hours. Flexibility is important in this function.

Job Purpose:
Direct and perform all aspects of product support/management for Hi-Way’s parts business for eleven locations. Inventory, supply chain and vendor management are key aspects of position.
Duties:
• Deliver parts sales revenue and profit targets for existing business product line portfolio. Ensure inventory is adequately managed (i.e. turns, pricing, stock ordering, etc.) to meet and exceed customer demand and profit plans.
• Create strategic/ marketing plans for business, inclusive of promotion, distribution, and sales tactics.
• Develop category and competitive analysis to optimize the business performance and growth potential of vendor products and initiatives. Grow and maintain knowledge base as industry expert, including consumer/customer trends, market analysis, competitive positioning, products, and pricing, and segment opportunities and threats.
• Experience in the following: heavy equipment, truck, Power Systems sales and service industry, high level, direct customer facing/interaction experience and heavy equipment repair/technical troubleshooting.
• Ability effectively lead, influence, negotiate and communicate with others both internally and externally, demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others and the ability to understand customer needs is essential and required.
• Actively participate in key customer planning and presentations including sales meetings and trade shows.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and non-competes with Vendors and Contract Manufacturers.
• Conduct product knowledge training seminars, plus development and delivery of essential materials.Qualifications• Experience working / managing in cross-functional and team-driven environment.

This position is responsible for determining the status of service needs for various heavy construction equipment and engines, and performing the necessary service, preventative maintenance, repairs to restore the equipment to proper operation.
Duties:
• Maintain and repair of a variety of construction equipment, tools, and vehicles involving mechanical , hydraulics, and diesel, pneumatic and electrical systems
• Complete Preventative Maintenance work orders and related paper work
• Ensure all paperwork is turned in timely and accurately
• Perform vehicle maintenance
• Assist in training customers on equipment and vehicles
• Oversee parts request and receipt, while managing inventory levels
• Complete billable repairs /pm’s and provide estimates when necessaryQualifications• Minimum of three years experience working with heavy machinery
• Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and engine components: and be able to demonstrate technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting abilities to define and perform maintenance and repairs to construction equipment.
