Resident Field Technician

Fabick CAT is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Field – Technician in the West Plains Missouri area. As a Resident Field Technician, one schedules and coordinates service schedule on their own, performs a variety of services on heavy equipment on customer sites and reporting into the assigned store location (Springfield, Missouri) as directed.

The ideal candidate must live in or around the West Plains area. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The following may be expected to be encountered: long periods of standing, exposure to seasonal heat and cold, working with oils and greases, noise, shift work as needed - 1st and 2nd, working outside, stooping, bending, squatting, or working in a prone position.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years experience in diagnosing equipment utilizing laptop computers, gauges, and instruments in all machine systems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines, and general machine performance is expected. Preferably in the field.
• 5 years of experience with repairing heavy equipment, systems, engines and components in the field is required.
• Occasional use of basic welding equipment may be required.
• Ability to operate in a fast paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment (or its equivalent) systems: hydraulics, engines, power train, 12 volt and 24 volt electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair these systems is required.
• Proficiency with computers and aspects of Microsoft office desired.

Education

• High school education or GED equivalent, Technical, Vocational, or Trade School education is also required. Prefer Associates of Science Degree in Diesel Technology.

General Manager of Product Support

Fabick CAT is currently seeking a qualified, experienced and customer focused General Manager of Product Support for our Fenton, Missouri location. The responsibilities of the General Manager of Product Support are to oversee the entire operations of our Product Support business including all aspects of the Product Support businesses located in Missouri and Illinois.

Qualifications

• Must have strong business acumen knowledge and application experience of greater than 10 years.
• Minimum of 5 years in Product Support Management role is required. 10 plus years Service Management experience is required. 5 plus years Parts Management experience is required. Caterpillar dealer experience preferred.
• 7 plus years experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans as well as in identifying and implementing business solutions and initiatives company wide. Ability to perform short and long range planning.
• 10 plus years of experience in the following: heavy equipment, truck, Power Systems sales and service industry, high level, direct customer facing/interaction experience and heavy equipment repair/technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to think on your feet is a must along with making good business decisions, ability to effectively lead, influence, negotiate and communicate with others both internally and externally, demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others and the ability to understand customer needs is essential and required.
• Ability to interpret technology and then apply to current business including development and implementation of technology programs Company wide. Excellent project and program management skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Marketing. MBA preferred. Technical degree in Diesel Technology with equivalent years of experience may be considered.

Service Supervisor

Fabick CAT is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Service Supervisor at our Columbia, Missouri location. Primary responsibility will be to direct customer service activities to service, maintain and repair machines, equipment and major components.

Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of service experience is required.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other business software applications is required.

• Good time management and organization skills are required.

Education

• 2 year technical degree with emphasis on diesel engine or earthmoving repair is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related business field is preferred.
