Herk & Associates is recruiting a Territory Sales Manager for a leading Construction Equipment Dealership in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls, NY area.

Purpose: This position is responsible for developing the company’s customer base by developing and maintaining positive relationships. This position is involved with the sale, rental, or leasing of all new and used equipment, promoting the Parts and Service Departments, meeting customers` needs, and growing market share while maintaining acceptable levels of gross profit and attaining sales unit targets.

Qualifications

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 3+ years of successful experience meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a highly competitive outside sales role.
  • Previous experience in industrial, construction or heavy equipment retail or rental sales is preferred.
  • Ability to use software applications such as the CDK business system (e.g. CRM & Prospect Board), Microsoft Office and Internet functions.
  • Ability to operate and demonstrate working features of heavy equipment being sold or rented.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as well as work in various demanding environmental conditions.
  • Excellent negotiator, communicator and relationship builder.
