Position Details & Responsibilities

The Parts Manager is responsible for maintaining a profitable and efficient Part Department. This person will set to accomplish objectives through the use of planning and marketing, solid purchasing procedures, heavy attention to inventory control, working with customers/clients and training team on parts knowledge. Work closely with the president on the progress of the department’s objectives, personnel, and generating sales and profit for the dealership.

Qualifications

  • Meet sales volume and return on sales objectives through supervision of Parts Department employees
  • Achieve maximum inventory turnover, parts availability and minimize surplus through administration utilizing the Company’s Inventory Control System
  • Daily and monthly management reports
  • Achieve market penetration goals through the identification of customers by utilization of a Prospect System, market research and sales contracts
  • Develop and maintain an effective and efficient parts organization through selection, development, training, placement, and equitable treatment of employees
  • Maintain compliance with existing government regulations and company policy and procedures. Establish safety and good housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Maintain employee morale, and perform annual performance reviews
