Position Details & Responsibilities

PacWest Machinery is recruiting for an Aggregate Sales Specialist who will drive the sales, rentals, parts and service of crushing and screening equipment across the company’s three-state territory.  We are seeking an experienced individual who takes pride in their work and who will enjoy the challenge of being an integral part of the company’s growth.  The successful candidate will be based in one of the Company’s main branch locations, ideally Seattle or Spokane, Washington or Portland, Oregon. 

PacWest Machinery provides a full line-up of aggregate processing equipment from Metso Minerals and supporting lines, and general production and road equipment from well-known companies including Volvo Construction Equipment, GOMACO, Tymco, Roadtec, Etnyre and others. 

The company delivers comprehensive sales, rental, leasing, parts and service support in Washington, Oregon and Northern Idaho. In addition, the company maintains an extensive remote service capability within the region. We pride ourselves in our commitment to our customers and are dedicated to supporting their business.  

The successful applicant will support the company by fulfilling these job responsibilities:    

Responsibilities:

  • Travel with the company’s mainline sales reps throughout the three-state territory working with customers to grow the Company’s aggregate equipment business
  • Make phone and in-person sales calls to customers and prospects, exhibiting strong communication skills
  • Train and develop the company’s mainline sales reps to expand the Company’s reach into additional aggregate operators
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and OEM’s that complement the Company’s existing aggregate product lines
  • Monitor the aggregate equipment inventories, rental and sales activities within each PacWest branch location
  • Network regularly by representing the Company at industry events

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Five to seven years’ experience selling and/or servicing crushing, screening, conveying, washing, and other aggregate processing equipment
  • Knowledge of a wide range of aggregate equipment and supporting machinery
  • Ability to travel throughout the territory
  • Excellent interpersonal capabilities and strong communication skills
  • Team player with an orientation towards responsive customer support
  • Strong capabilities in the use of standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and knowledge of typical aggregate system planning software
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Strong references from former employers and colleagues
  • Extensive qualifications in certain categories may help to offset a lack of experience in other areas
