Job Summary

The Sales Enablement Marketing Manager is the primary liaison between Sales and Product Marketing and is responsible for leading the development and delivery of tools and assets that support sales conversations throughout the sales cycle. . This position requires a mix of interpersonal, project management and communications skills in addition to an understanding of marketing principles, sales methodology, and content management. The job requires innovation in process, procedure and systems that will continuously improve sales and marketing efficiency and effectiveness
 

Roles of Job

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:
 

  • Work with sales and various corporate functions to assess and determine the required enablement support and the necessary tools, and to identify the most effective assets. Manage roadmap for asset development.
  • Develop and distribute all product sales information (brochures, PMI’s, CPW`s, etc.) for North American market based on agreed roadmap.
  • Develop and implement commercial marketing plans for major product launches (both hard and soft offerings). This will involve the interaction with a variety of internal personnel at all levels of the organization, in addition to selected agencies and suppliers.
  • Measure sales enablement activities to quantify impact and success of materials and programs
  • Execute the VIP Customer Visit experience when needed.
  • Lead all factory tours when needed, including assessing tour content the entire customer experience.
  • Represent & support on Volvo CE NA on internal and external industry communications committees as applicable
  • Establish processes for consistent communication with the field sales team in order to collect input as well as to deliver updates and share knowledge
  • Coordinate with sales training organization to ensure alignment of training material and marketing messages
  • Helps organize, attend, and/or administer Volvo CE marketing events (trade shows, Volvo Days, etc.)
  • Leverage Volvo resources to fulfill marketing content and image requests from industry stakeholders
  • Identifies and leverages promotional opportunities across Volvo Group NA

  • Role must understand the complexities and day to day operation of the equipment dealership, especially the sales process, to enable the information produced is impactful, accurate and beneficial to those using it
  • Role must totally understand and be skilled to enable the positioning of our products, services, attachments and advanced technology with our customers and dealers
  • Experience working with sales and understand the pain points experienced by salespeople
  • You have previous experience in marketing with an understanding of communicating brand and product vision
  • You have content creation experience building assets and materials that are externally facing and can be used by the sales team to facilitate their sales process
  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, writing and speaking
  • Strong typing skills with attention to detail and organization
  • Strong analytical skills, relating to construction, industrial or similar business
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to manage multiple concurrent projects to deadline, within budget and using indirect suppliers as needed
  • Very strong business and marketing acumen, especially relating to our focused and targeted customers and dealers
  • Collaborative and results driven style
  • Advanced Microsoft Office, online and emerging communications abilities
  • Fully proficient in Adobe skills, InDesign, Photoshop & Video editing

REQUIRED  KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position: 

(Minimum)

  • Bachelors Degree in Communications, Advertising or Marketing related fields
  • 10+ year`s work experience in sales, marketing, public relations, mass communications or related field
  • Knowledge and experience with print and electronic marketing communications
  • (Preferred)
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in the construction equipment or comparable manufacturing industry environment

Additional Important Requirements (e.g. language, mobility):
 
This position requires experience in the construction equipment industry and a thorough understanding of the strategic role of communications in achieving business objectives and the Company’s overall business goals. Other requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Able to work in a cross-cultural, functional and business team environment
  • Able to progress in a fast-paced, continuous change environment
  • Manage high interaction with both internal and external stakeholders, local and remote
  • Ensure collaboration with internal and external colleagues, industry and media partners
  • Flexible to travel as needed to execute responsibilities (up to approximately 20%)
