National Rental Account Manager Direct Hire


Position Details & Responsibilities

Northern California Equipment Sales Manufacturers Rep looking to hire a National Rental Account Manager. Selling approved lines to United, Sunbelt, Herc, etc. Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of outside sales experience in the industry. Preferred candidates will have Rental / Construction business experience. They will have a good personality and a strong desire to excel. • Sales of light construction equipment by calling on prospects and established customer base offering a full range of products and services.

• Increasing territory sales and establishing new sales and re-rental accounts through calling and personal visits to potential customer sites

• Preparing quotes, making presentations and assisting with negotiations as necessary.

• Prospecting for and qualifying leads • Educating customers about equipment through demonstration.

• Working with the inside sales and service teams to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

• Providing product advice to customers and distributing product literature. Maintaining records and preparing reports on sales activities.


Desired Skills and Experience         

  • 3+ years outside sales experience.Demonstrated knowledge of construction equipment products and the industry is preferred.    
  • Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques and the ability to close sales with a strong track  record of full cycle business development including self-generating leads and winning new business.           
  • Must be people-oriented, sales driven, self-directed, self-motivated, determined individual who can work with little supervision.   
  • Should have poise and confidence when speaking and presenting to groups for training and product introductions.         
  • Sound judgment and high integrity with the ability to perform duties at customer job sites and locations as required, with a professional appearance at all times.     
  • Ability to function in a team environment and work with other groups for maximum customer satisfaction.               
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred   
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean DMV record.     
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required     
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite   

Very Helpful:             

Mechanical skills and familiarity with construction systems such as; hydraulics, generators, and water pumps
