Position Details & Responsibilities

Herk and Associates has been retained by a leading North American Equipment Dismantling Company to help them identify a new Production/Dismantlement Manager in the Buffalo area.

Our Client supply’s used parts for all the major makes and models of excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, and articulated trucks and they also Manufacture Parts in other locations.

We are seeking a Manager to oversee and be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activity in the equipment teardown and product reconditioning shops as well as oversee shipping/receiving/warehousing personnel to ensure employees are working in accordance with quality and safety standards and are meeting the production goals of the organization.

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and growing Company with multiple Nationwide locations in a Newley Created Position and be in charge of the entire Teardown and Reconditioning process at the location.


  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods in a job costing environment. 
  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. 
  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. 
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning
  • Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself and other employees using metrics and/or other techniques
  • Communication — Talking to others to convey information effectively. 
  • Time Management — Managing one`s own time and the time of others. 
  • Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. 
  • Management of Personnel Resources — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. 
  • Systems/Process Analysis — Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes. 
  • Management of Material Resources — Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work. 
  • Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. 


  • Degree in business management or related field



  • Five or more years Production Management Experience
  • Mechanic knowledge with heavy equipment, preferred
  • Safety and OSHA training
