Vice President, Sales & Marketing

F&M MAFCO, Inc., the Powerful Solutions People, a leader in the equipment rental, construction supply distribution and heavy equipment industries is seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales & Marketing. We are looking for a proven sales leader that can drive profitable results, within a continuously changing market. The right individual will be a critical member of our management team and will be expected to be a significant contributor to our continued growth.

Our rental, sales, repair and service offerings include: Heavy Equipment, Consumables, Specialty Equipment, Surplus Tools & Equipment, Fabrication, Gases and Slings. Our key customer base includes: industrial, manufacturing, construction, electrical power, chemical/refinery, marine construction, bridges, welding & rigging and civil industries. 

 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales and profitability goals.
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
  • Manage marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs.
  • Build key customer relationships and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
  • Create optimal sales force infrastructure and required systems to support the success of the sales function.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Oversee the hiring and development of the sales and marketing organization.
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business/ goal achievement within the sales team.
  • Define and oversee sales compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets.
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
  • Travel and participate in meetings with customers, suppliers or other business partners to develop key long term relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments, while maintaining a focused and motivated sales team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of ten years successful Sales and Marketing management experience with a proven sales track record.
  • Demonstrates detailed knowledge of the company’s products/and competitive markets.
  • Requires bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing personnel to include hiring, training, directing and motivating sales personnel on a national level.  
  • Must have proven ability to present to high level client personnel and successfully close new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively, while exhibiting awareness of best Sales practice and methods.
  • Team oriented, works well with others.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, along with strong persuasive abilities.
  • Displays solid motivational and leadership skills.
  • Maintains professional, but confident and outgoing demeanor at all times, while maintaining creditability and trustworthiness amongst both internal and external customers.
  • Solid customer service skills, with the ability to build/maintain long-term customer relations.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, while being results-oriented with a strong attention to detail/follow-up.
  • Self-motivated, self-reliant, able to work with little day to day direction, while exercising good independent judgment and decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products as well as Outlook, and the use of other computer applications.
