Contracts Manager

Key performance areas

The Contract Manager is responsible for ensuring profitable control and expansion of business of Performance contracts, Goods & Services contracts, Dealer contracts and Total Costs of Ownership contracts within Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology’s Parts & Service USA region. This role will report to National Operations Manager.

This position will also ensure successful realization of projects within cost, time and quality constraints.
Partner with stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize programs/projects according to relevant measurement criteria.

Additional, you will:

  • Ensures the Contract planning processes achieve the strategic aims of being maintenance best practice
  • Determines the market possibilities for Contracts, developing these in consultation with the Sales Manager and account representatives extending the market for established contracts
  • Develops generic tender costing and maintains their currency in CRM for all Account Managers’ review
  • Monitors results of existing contracts to implement improvements to existing maintenance strategies
  • Develops strategic alliances to enhance existing contract revenues and margins
  • Ensures projects are executed such that the Customer will entrust the Sandvik Parts & Services group with larger work scopes Monitors and controls sites to ensure they are in line with project set up costs and budgets
  • Assists the Project Managers to develop their own site budgets and with site cost control, reporting and revenue recovery
  • Coordinates monthly and quarterly contract reports & invoicing
  • Establishes KPIs for team and customers to analyzes data including asset management targets
  • Ensures sufficient resources are allocated to projects to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
  • Assists Project Managers with planning strategy in conjunction with Long Term Planner
  • Conducts site audits and reviews as required Recruits, mentors, motivates, trains, evaluates and leads team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the business

Your profile

You should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Business Administration preferred. Eight years’ experience in Engineering, Project Management or Contract Management. Strategic planning and operations experience in service centers, product support and/or parts marketing. Prior experience with Maximo, SAP or similar CMMS is a definite plus. Prior Contract management experience a plus.
