BACK UP INDUSTRIAL POWER GENERATION SALES REPRESENTATIVE

 

KELLY GENERATOR & EQUIPMENT, INC., 

and

KELLY GENERATOR & EQUIPMENT OF PA & WV, INC.,

 

is a full service distributor of emergency standby and prime power located in one of the largest demand markets for power generation in the country.  We are located in the mid-Atlantic region servicing Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Northern Virginia, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania.   

 

We offer SALES, SERVICE, PARTS, RENTALS & TRAINING

WE PROVIDE RENTAL GENERATORS – 20kW UP TO 2 MEGS
(1.5 MEGS are available with the ability to provide 9.5 MEGS when paralleled)

 

Kelly Generator and Equipment, Inc. is seeking qualified, outgoing individuals for a Back Up Industrial Power Generation Sales Representative. The ideal candidate should have experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably in a related industry. Experience with contractors and engineers would be beneficial.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Developing industrial equipment sales business in the Baltimore and surrounding, Maryland area
  • Sales include new standby electric generators, automatic transfer switches, and electrical switchgear
  • Maintaining and improving relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Follow-up on outstanding opportunities in the power generation market
  • Develop brand awareness
  • Prospect, qualify, quote, and close sales of new power generation equipment
  • Call on Potential and existing customers
  • Continue follow-up with customers throughout the selling process
  • Assist with all documentation with customers
  • Assist in formulation of marketing plans
  • Provide weekly contact and quote reports as well as customer follow up information

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

BS/BA, AA, High School

  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and drive for success
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of closing sales, obtaining new business and strong relationship maintenance
  • Minimum of 7 years of outside industrial sales experience
  • Emergency power generation industry experience a plus
  • College is desired but relevant successful sales history will be seriously considered
  • Excellent customer follow-up, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of diesel and natural gas engine generators or comprehensive engine or electrical knowledge is a strong plus
