Position Details & Responsibilities

The Parts Manager oversees the daily functions of Branch Parts departments and associated Parts Coordinators. This position will ensure that the Branch network parts departments are running according to National policy and procedures. The manager will act as the subject matter expert on inventory levels and turns, recommend products to be introduced into the inventory, negotiate pricing with outside vendors, ensure branches maintain sufficient parts inventory levels, coordinate ordering processes, manage PO’s, conduct cycle counts and minimize loss and/or theft. This position requires traveling up to 3 or 4 days per week across SE Florida

Essential Functions:   

  • Assist in development and maintain all branch and company inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for company wide price negotiations between vendors
  • Strong Project management
  • Strong financial understanding in order to create standardization/recommendations for margin development, cost plus analysis and identify problems through financial analysis.
  • Act as coach and mentor to the branch parts coordinator teams
  • Be the subject matter expert in managing inventory controls, inventory turns and recommend solutions to improve
  • Participate and develop company wide initiatives to improve margins, top line revenue and grow the parts department into a sophisticated sales and service support group
  • Oversee the company wide inventory count program each year
  • Ensure the parts department coordinators are adequately trained
  • Establish minimum and maximum supply of parts based on equipment inventory and usage.
  • Develop standards to organize and maintain a Parts Stockroom to improve efficiencies. 
  • Improve and maintain a high level of customer service culture within the parts department
  • Develop systems to allow for easier with parts selections and delivery urgency.
  • Generate PO’s for orders filled and documents parts received per branch and company policies.
  • Establish standardized shipping and receiving of all parts. Conduct cycle counts and complete internal parts audits.
  • Coordinate and oversee year end parts inventory counts.





Skills: Ability to lead a multi branch organization by creating a collaborative environment with the ability to build teamwork. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional computer/inventory management system familiarity. Provable experience in establishing policies and procedures in an organization. Strong customer service and sales experience. Must be able to create and develop reports to present to senior management. Public speaking skills required.

Experience/Education: Minimum of 5 years’ experience overseeing inventory controls within a material handling environment. Experience within material hanling industry mandatory.

Physical Demands: Individual must be able to perform each  essential function satisfactorily. .
