Position Details & Responsibilities

Hensley is in the earth-moving business of excavation, reclamation, mining, and trenching focused on ground-engaging tools (GET) and attachments since 1947. We are a subsidiary of Komatsu supporting major growth in the mining and construction global markets by providing the best service and the most outstanding quality. 

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative. The Customer Service Representative provides customers technical services in conjunction with marketing activities. Assist customers with daily needs to increase sales. 

Key Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers via phone or e-mail to receive orders for products and to update them on status of existing orders and new product information
  • Shows understanding and knowledge of all products to assist dealers with the sale, application and promotion of Company products
  • Displays technical abilities related to equipment, attachments and G.E.T.
  • Process orders into computer system, evaluate open orders and arrange shipments per customers instructions for both domestic and International customers
  • Coordinate truck load/full container shipments with freight forwarders and Hensley logistics department
  • Knowledge of Incoterms to prepare and maintain documents packages for overseas shipments in accordance with customs requirements
  • Provide customer support to resolve complaints and shipping problems
  • Knowledge of Hensley policies regarding returns, field scrap and promotional material
  • Exhibit a positive, professional image in appearance, words and actions.
  • Participate in dealer schools, training and trade shows as requested by V.P. Sales

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (business, marketing, or similar fields)
  • Displays an understanding of our industry, distribution, end users and competition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Gains trust and is a good ambassador for Hensley
  • Knowledge of International shipping laws and U.S. Customs regulations
  • Uses computer skills to generate data and programs which are compiled (i.e.: Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Shows an ability to manage time to complete tasks
