Rolling Meadows, IL – National Account Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Sales & Marketing

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position will be responsible for increasing national account lift truck sales across North America, growing sales within the Komatsu organization, and external resulting in increased market share for national account business.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop existing and new national account relationships resulting in increased new unit sales through acquisition of new national accounts.  Targeting specific new national accounts through North America.  Activity should result in increased KFI market share in NA national accounts.
  • Manage relationship with Komatsu internal customers, increasing Komatsu lift truck unit sales at Komatsu manufacturing locations and affiliated Komatsu companies throughout North America
  • Design and deliver site surveys and presentations to existing and potential national account customers
  • Increase national account sales through Komatsu suppliers.  Maximize relationships to achieve increased unit sales across Komatsu suppliers supply chain in North America

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business (BBA) or Marketing and five to seven years of retail and/or wholesale marketing and or selling experience
  • Product and industry knowledge of the lift truck industry.  Previous experience working for a dealer, distributor or OEM.
  • Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business information and governmental documents and regulations in the English language. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, employees and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Thorough understanding of financial merchandising.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where standardized methods and procedures exist but customer requirements and work situation may vary. Must be adept at prioritizing projects, addressing important items with a sense of urgency and responsibility. Must be detailed oriented
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher
  • Strong presentation skills
  • National Account Sales experience a plus
  • 50% to 75% national travel required
