Positioning Products Sales Representative Job Description:
The Positioning Products Sales Representative is responsible for selling the full-line of survey, grade control and land measuring equipment and software. Provides sales and product support to customers throughout Eastern NYS & Western NYS. Position also involves customer interaction throughout the entire process of prospecting, quoting, order fulfillment, products support, training and follow-up.
The right candidate will be able to do the following:
Responsible for selling and renting positioning equipment (survey, software and machine control products, as assigned.
Meet or exceed rental and sales revenue goals for equipment and supplies.
Develop revenue and relationships through means such as customer entertainment, cold calls, proposals, presentations, demonstrations, prospect reports, sales calls, corporate marketing lists, manufacturer leads and customer referrals.
Make sales calls to construction job sites and customer offices.
Quote customer's equipment needs. Provide specifications, written quotes and arrange demos.
Follow-up with customer's within the time frame discussed. Close deals.
Participate in company marketing promotions and product initiatives.
Maintain excellent customer service at all times with existing and new accounts.
Ensure documentation is prepared and processed in a proper and timely manner.
Maintain and develop knowledge of the full-range of Admar product offerings.
Process all necessary paperwork, passing it on to the appropriate personnel.
Attend company and out-of-town training and sales meetings.
Provide product support, training and service.
Work with management to develop and implement a yearly strategic business development and marketing plan, including trade shows, catalogs, direct mail, flyers and trade association meetings.
Have a persuasive and engaging personality, possessing the ability to develop and sustain customer relationships in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
Must be highly motivated and success oriented.
Must be able to read and write the English language.
Posses the ability to calculate figures, such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
Ability to multi-task is a must.
Exceptional phone skills is a must.
Must have the ability to work with diverse groups in a challenging, fast paced setting.
AS400 or other ERP systems knowledge a plus.
Experience with CRM and Sales Force Automation software.
Have a strong desire to seek self-improvement.
Be able to participate in online and group training and utilize established training courses for group classroom and on-line learning.
Willing to put in the extra time to ensure goals, deadlines and customer satisfaction are met.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
Minimum of 3 years of outside sales (business to business)
2 or 4 year college degree strongly preferred
Experience with construction layout and engineering is desirable
Experience selling or using survey instruments and GPS is a major plus
Strong Computer and keyboarding skills
Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record
